Adding JDBC Drivers

Most JDBC drivers are bundled in a single JAR file. In such cases, use the following steps to add a new JDBC driver:

1.Click File/Open JDBC Manager

2.Select the Drivers tab

3.You will see three types of drivers on this screen:

oRead-to-use. These drivers appear with a green checkmark. No further steps are required to use these drivers.

oDownload Required – These drivers appear with a red dash icon. Clicking the Download button will take you to the website where you can download the necessary JAR file. Then, specify the path for this JAR file.

oMissing – These are the drivers for which WinSQL does not have a download site. In such cases, you must manually download the JAR files by searching the Internet.

A JDBC driver is usually packaged in a single JAR file. If your driver needs additional jar files to operate, you must save those files in the %ALLUSERPROFILE%\WinSQL\jars folder.
