Hi 

We are colaborating with an external company and are looking to allow multiple people to update files on the fly that are stored in Synaman.  Is there any way possible to allow a user modify a file stored in Synaman? This will be an ongoing project and the files will be modified multiple times.

I know I can create a download and upload link for the end users, but I am trying to avoid having 2 links.

Have you considered using the Mapped Drive feature in SynaMan. Check https://web.synametrics.com/synaman-mapped-drives.htm for details. Once a drive is mapped, files will automatically get pushed on your end when they modify them.

What software are they using for modifying these files. Note that this option may not work for software that requires a lot of disk I/O, such as large imaging software or AutoCAD that could potentially create large files. In those cases, they will have to copy the files from the mapped drive to a local drive and then put it back to the mapped drive once done.
