How do I Ican install and configure a Syncrify client on a QNAP ? I want the QNAP to backup on a remote server.

Here are the steps:

• Ensure your QNAP has JRE8 installed through the AppCenter
• Download Syncrify Client for Linux/UNIX. The default installation path for Linux is /opt. Change that to /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/homes/admin , which is a more appropriate location on QNAP.
• Note that during installation, the install script will try to add a script in /etc/init.d/syncrifyclient. This location is not valid in QNAP. Therefore, you will have to add a cron job that runs /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/homes/admin/SyncrifyClient/run.sh when your QNAP boots up
