Hi,

I want to change the sender address for error/notification emails to avoid dkim compliance issue.

Thanks

Jon,

  • Log in admin
  • Click Configuration and select the tab for Email Configuration
  • Check Use admin's email as sender
  • Save

Refer to https://web.synametrics.com/Syncrify-admin-sender.htm for details on what is this option going to do in the background.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I tried this but it is sending the test email to the same address as the admin email even though 'error recipient' is different.

I also tried alias but it has no effect.

Jon,

This option does not change anything when to send a "test" email, which will always have the admin's email address for both sender and recipient.

This option is applicable when an email is sent at the end of the backup and will ONLY affect the sender's email address in the SMTP envelope.

The 'error recipient' has nothing to do with this setting.

What is your end goal? Is it to change the sender in SMTP so DKIM and SPF passes OR change the recpient?

Ok, I'll wait for a scheduled report.

I was expecting the test mail to exhibit same behaviour as scheduled.

It's for DKIM.

Thanks for your help.
