Revolving around the core of technology
Wondering if anyone can help.
I am unable to access the Synaman home page at all for some reason. Also when I check the SynaMan service, it is set to automatic. If I try to start it, it jsut says it started then stopped.
Any help?
John,
Look for errors in SynaMan.log file, which should be in $INSTALL_DIR\logs folder. On Windows, $INSTALL_DIR usually refers to C:\SynaMan and on Linux it is usually /opt/SynaMan .
Send us this file via email if you're not able to decipher the log file.
Thank you for the reply.
I was able to get the service to load ok now.
Looks like someone installed the latest version over the top of the exisiting install. Now when I go to the admin page everything is set back to default. Is there anyway to retrive all our previous settings like logo AD sync settings etc?
I still see the SynaManHome folder with the user folders in it.
SynaMan stores every configuration in $INSTALL_DIR\config folder. Restoring that folder will restore every setting, including AD.
Logo are stored in $INSTALL_DIR\branding folder. Restoring that will bring back your logos.
Thanks for the reply. All files are copied back to the config folder, but it did not revert back at all.
