Old Syncrify Server / Newer Client

The issue I am having is that backups are running fine. However, when an e-mail needs to be sent to the client it doesn't. Our server is 3.8 and the client is 5.0. I have tried multiple e-mails @yahoo, @gmail, and work domain as well still nothing. I've checked Syncrify logs yet there not showing any issue that is related to the e-mail matter. Can anyone please assist?
