http://localhost:5800/app not found after install

this is a new install windows server 2016 standard 64 bit  After install I get  http://localhost:5800/app  404 not found . service is running and has been restarted and the computer rebooted.  I have installed the latest version of java  and am fully patched.

What is my next step I looked at the log but could not identitfy a problem

I get this responce trying to open the admin console so I never get to setup the service

I have a feeling some other server on the same machine has capture port TCP/5800 and is now conflicting with Syncrify.

A few suggestions:

  • Refer to Syncrify.log log file in C:\Syncrify\logs and look for errors towards the end. Send us the file via email if you're not sure what it means.
  • Stop Syncrify Server by stopping the service. Try accessing the URL again and see if you still get a 404. Getting a 404 when Syncrify is not running guarantees some other server is listening on port 5800. In fact, remove the trailing "/app" from the URL and just try http://localhost:5800 and see if something comes up.

Same problem here.

 

Knew I reconised that port number - it default VNC http port. Change vnc port and had to restart syncrify service, sorted.
