Revolving around the core of technology
Hello everyone,
we have a hundred directories to synchronize in real time.
what is thebest way ?
Is it possible to synchronize several directories with Syncribox?
Is it possible to set a value to zero for the schedule of Syncrify?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Best regards
Adrien
Adrien,
Syncrify Client cannot do real-time sync. You must use SyncriBox for that.
SyncriBox has to register a "watch directory" request with the operating system for every directory. Whenever the OS detects a file modification, it sends a message to SyncriBox, which then runs the backup. Using this real-time directory watching mechanism on a large folder can slow down your entire OS.
This is the reason this feature only exists in SyncriBox and not Syncrify Client. Typically, you only watch a handful of folders when using SyncriBox and therefore, is perfect for such a job.
But SyncriBox runs in a User context and not as a service.
We are evaluating and trying to synchronize two disconnected zones with a Syncrify Server as an intermediate. Two way Sync on each client and 1 minute schedule.
It works, but it takes 2 minutes max for the files to arrive. Is there a method to use syncrybox as a service on a server system?
