Since build 1525 was auto-deployed last week, users are reporting issues logging on, plus being unable to put more than one file in a row without browser refreshing between transfers.
Browsers tested: Safari, Firefox, Chrome
There is a new security feature in the latest version that automatically blocks an IP address if unusual activity is detected. Regular users should not be affected, provided everyone connects from a different IP address. A problem occurs if your network router/firewall replaces the foreign IP address with its own LAN IP. For example, if every client will appear to connect from 192.168.1.1, SynaMan will not be able to differentiate between malicious users and normal users who want to login. Do you think every connection to SynaMan is being made from the same IP? You should be able to see that from Audit Logs.
You can disable this new feature by adding the following line in server.properties file
You will have to restart SynaMan after adding this line in server.properties file.
I also recommend you refer to SynaMan.log file for errors.
No change has been made in the file upload. There is typically a small gap (about a second) between each file upload and has been there even in the older versions. Ask the user NOT to refresh their browser. Upload for the next file will automatically start.
Problem 1 - not the issue - users are logging in from a variety of IP addresses. Issue is that they will login, do something, logout, and the next attempt reports invalid user/pass.. try again, nothing. try again, success.
Problem 2 - selecting multiple files then drag/drop (or use "upload" button and select multiple files), it will upload the first file and then nothing (5min and counting). If you try to upload a single file - nothing. Navigating away from and back to folder has no effect, and menu->refresh has no effect. If you logout/login, or refresh browser, or click Explore to refresh the explore window, it will allow ONE more file to be uploaded but then you have to logout/login, etc.. Validated on 5 users, mac/pc, safari, chrome, firefox (all latest versions).
All was working well on the previous build.
