Public links not wokring for certain customers

I have a user who sent a public link to a customer/vendor and they have contacted us saying when they click the link, they get a page cannot be displayed error in the browser.

I am able to get the link to work without a problem outside and inside out network.

Can someone give me some idea of what firewall or port settings the customer might need to check on their end to ge tthe link(s) to work?

If you're able to connect from outside, it cannot be a firewall problem on your end. What ports are you using? Are they 80/443 or a custom port? Many large companies filter outbound traffic as well, which could affect the connection if you're using a non-standard port.

For example, if you're using 4443 for HTTPS, your URL will look something like https://yourHostname.com:4443/app... .This means the end-user will need outbound port 4443 opened from their end. If their company decides to block it, there isn't much you can do on your end but to use standard ports.
