403 - Forbidden: Access is denied.

hello,

I'm getting 403 - Forbidden Access is denied error since I reinstalled Synaman. Any suggestions?

403 - Forbidden: Access is denied.

You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied.

The site is working fine locally when using Server IP.

403 - Forbidden: Access is denied.

Since the site is working fine from the LAN, this could be related either to your firewall or a proxy server that is sitting in between. Try the following:

  • Using Firefox (I am sure other browsers also have a similar feature) try connecting to your SynaMan from the Internet
  • Press CTRL+SHIFT+E , which will bring up the Network Monitor utlity.
  • You may have to refresh the page in order for new content to appear in Network Monitor.
  • Look at the value of the "Server" header. If it says anything other than Synametrics Web Server v7, you are going through a proxy/firewall and the problem is that it is denying your request. See image below.
