I am using Winsql to connect db2 with Winsql DB2 Wire Protocol driver, I get an error when configuring ODBC "[Synametrics][ODBC DB2 Wire Protocol driver] Socket Closed.

Please guide what i am missing and how to resolve this error.

This is a network related issue. How good is your network connection to your DB2 database?

Netwrok connection should be good, so please elaboarte more and what is the solution to his problem

How far is your database from your workstation? Are you connecting over a VPN. If yes, confirm the connection does not go in and out.

Additionally, if you're getting this error while configuring the DSN, that's not a choppy network. That could happen if you're connecting to the wrong server. For example, if you enter a wrong TCP/IP port that belongs to a different server. Are you sure your connection parameters are correct?
