Hi,

is it possible to disable TLS 1.0 in Synaman 4.1 - build 1500?

Thank you very much in advance!

Synaman - Disable TLS 1.0?

TLS 1.0 should get disabled automatically once you use the latest JRE. Visit http://web.synametrics.com/Update-JRE.htm for instructions.

Synaman - Disable TLS 1.0?

I already did an upgrade before, now i upgraded to 1.8.0_191-b12

TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 is still enabled when i check it via https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest

Is there an option which i have to tick off?

Synaman - Disable TLS 1.0?

Robert,

Did you specify any custom SSL ciphers? Open for $INSTALL_DIR\config\server.properties and look for SSL ciphers. If found, remove them. You will have to restart SynaMan after saving the file.

If the file is not found or you did not specify any ciphers, contact our support department via email. We will have to further investigate this issue.

Nevertheless many thanks!

Synaman - Disable TLS 1.0?

I apologize. I misread your earlier message and confused TLS1.0 with SSL1.0, which is automatically disabled when JRE is upgraded. Use the following steps to disable TLSv1.0

  • Go to $INSTALL_DIR\config
  • Create/modify server.properties and add the following line:

    synametrics.https.sslProtocol=SSLv2Hello,TLSv1.1,TLSv1.2

When this line is missing, SynaMan uses SSLv2Hello,TLSv1,TLSv1.1,TLSv1.2 by default, which includes TSL1.0
  • Save the file and restart SynaMan

Please keep in mind that some older browsers may still want to use TLS1.0 and may run into problems.
