Network Reset Error

Help!! I am consistently getting "connection reset error" and "error when connecting to the server" when backing up Server 2012.

Network Reset Error

Hello Denise,

This means that there is a network problem between the client machine and the server machine.  It could also mean that the Syncrify Server is offline.

Check the following in order:

  1. Check if the Syncrify Server is up and running.  Can you Connect to it via the web and login?
    1. If not, restart the service on the Syncrify Server machine.  The service is called Syncrify.
  2. Check the Network and Machine firewalls on both ends and make sure they aren't blocking you from connecting on a specific port.
