port number modification in Syncrify

I am trying to use Syncrify to transfer files from my PC to a remote QNAP NAS. I am not allowed in my institution to use port numbers above 1024 so I am not able to use http or https (ports 7800 and 7900 in Syncrify). Is it possible to modify the ports used by Syncrify ?

There are two ways to change the port:

  • From the web interface. Go to Configuration/HTTP Configuration.
  • Changing the config file manually. Follow the steps below to accomplish that
    • Open an SSH session to QNAP
    • Go to /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/Syncrify/config
    • Modify AppConfig.xml file
    • Replace the values for httpPort, httpPort2 and httpPortSSL to desired numbers.
    • Restart Syncrify

Thank you. However, I understand that your explanation refers to the server. How about the client ?

On the client's end you simply change the URL. For example, if the server is listening on port 1414, the URL will become http://yourserver:1414
