backup synology nas to Syncrify server

Yes. Since there is no X-Term available on Synology, you will have to use the Command Line version of Syncrify Client. Check http://web.synametrics.com/SyncrifyCommandLine.htm for details.

In short, you will need the following:

  • Install the Java 8 on Synology. You should see this through Package Center
  • Then, download the Syncrify Client package for Linux from your Syncrify Server. This is a zipped file containing SyncrifyClient.jar
  • Using Putty, connect to your NAS via SSH. Create a script that runs Syncrify Client using the instructions on http://web.synametrics.com/SyncrifyCommandLine.htm

backup synology nas to Syncrify server with DSM APP?

how about a SYNCRIFY CLIENT version that runs on the SYNOLOGY DSM graphically.

our clients would GLADLY pay for this as an upgrade to allow backups from NAS to SYNCRIFY.

would also expand number of people who could use SYNCRIFY!

PLEASE
