Hi, I've just installed the client onto a contos 7 VPS and got a couple of errors on the first run.
1) 1369947 [T7324] ERROR com.synametrics.syncrify.client.dE - Unable to patch due to I/O error. State: 5. /apps/data/.sickrage/backup/sickrage-20151104111416.zip - Error writing to server.
2) 1401943 [main] ERROR com.synametrics.syncrify.client.K - Server returned an error. Invalid Job ID
3) I set the client to backup everything in a /apps folder, but it only backed up 2 of the 3 subfolders, subsequent runs of the client also fails to backuip the 3rd sub folder. Would that first error above have stopped the backup?

In order to get a complete picture of the error we need the log files from both client and server. The first error is most likely occurring on the server side.
The second error is easier. For some reason the server lost track of the client's backup job. This could happen if the server processes is restarted while backup is in progress.
For the third issue, ensure you have not specified any selection filters. Check http://web.synametrics.com/syncrifyselfitler.htm for more information.
ok whats the server side problem? what needs to be changed. im getting this now on a few clients and only on certain files.
You will know the exact problem through the log file. I recommend you first try to recreate the problem and then look at Syncrify.log on the server's end. Most likely you will see errors towards the end of the file.
Send us the logs if you're not sure what the error means.
