Syncrify client silent/remote installation?

We're looking for a way to install the Syncrify client to many workstations and servers without needing to directly remotely control those computers in order to save some time and frustration.

However, I can't seem to find any method for installing the Syncrify client silently (without GUI prompts). There is a manual install method that requires copying over folders manually, but that won't create shortcuts or add an Add/Remove Programs entry.

Is there some way to do this that I'm missing?

Syncrify client silent/remote installation?

Dear Joe,

Following steps occur during setup:

  • Files are copied to $INSTALL_DIR
  • A Windows Service is installed
  • Shortcuts are created
  • Uninstaller is added to Add/Remove program

You can perform the first step from a remote machine but cannot do the rest unless the installer (or any other script) runs on the client machine. If you can write a script that can run on the client machine, try running:

setup.exe /VERYSILENT

Imran.

Syncrify client silent/remote installation?

Thanks! That was exactly what I was looking for, but the command line switch in question didn't seem to be documented that I could find.
