Synaman fails to send public link as email

It says "could not send email due to an internal server error"

When I check SynaMan.log I see

Synaman fails to send public link as email

Is this happening with every email address or just one particular one? Also try sending it to someone in your local domain and see if it goes through

Synaman fails to send public link as email

I tried three different addresses and it does not work for any of them. I don't have a domain, it is just my home computer...

Synaman fails to send public link as email

Dear McVitas,

There are three possible reasons for this error:

  1. Email address is incorrect - this is unlikely since you tried 3 different values.
  2. Your ISP blocks out-bound emails to a third party SMTP server. For example, Verizon and many other ISP do not allow out-bound emails to a different SMTP server. They do this to reduce out-bound spam from their network and force you to use their SMTP server with SMTP authentication
  3. The sender of your emails (meaning the email address you have configured as admin in SynaMan) is different from the user account. For example, if you use xyz@someDomains.com as admin but use abc@otherDomain.com as the account for SMTP authentication. Some SMTP server's reject emails when they see this.

If none of the above reasons apply to you, please send us an email at support@synametrics.com with your SMTP settings, your admin email address and the recipients email address and we will try to figure out what is going on.
