Synology backup compatibility

Hello - I'm wondering if Syncrify is compatible with the rsync backup feature of Synology NAS devices? The option is "Network Backup (rsync compatible server)" Also how do I change the destination of the data...does it get saved to the directory that Syncrify is installed?

Synology backup compatibility

Robert, Although Syncrify uses the rsync algorithm, it does not speak the rsync protocol. Therefore, you cannot use Syncrify client with an rsync daemon running on your NAS device. You have one of two options: 1 - Install Syncrify server on your NAS device. Check KB articles on this topic. 2 - Use DeltaCopy instead. Destination folders are defined when you create users. You can have a different location for every user. Additionally, check http://web.synametrics.com/SyncrifyRepositoryPath.htm to see how to specify a specific path that does not follow the default naming convention.
