DeltaCopy problem - rsync configuration file ...

When I run the service, it seems to have its CWD as c:\windows\system ( according to tlist.exe ). When it runs the command line: rsync.exe -v --daemon --config=deltacd.conf --no-detach The rsync fails saying ( from eventlog ): rsync: rsync: unable to open configuration file "deltacd.conf": No such file or directory (2). presumably since it's not running from the right place. HELP!

DeltaCopy problem - rsync configuration file ...

Hi, Deltas.exe, Rsync.exe and deltacd.conf files should be in the same folder. If they are not, the service won't be able to find them. What directory are they in? Regards, Synametrics Support >When I run the service, it seems to have its CWD as c:\windows\system ( according >to tlist.exe ). DeltaCopy problem - rsync configuration file ...

I'm seeing the same problem here. All required files are in the same folder, which is the default installation folder under c:\Program Files. Upon startup of the service, Windows logs the following two errors: rsyncd: PID 3444: rsync: rsync: unable to open configuration file "deltacd.conf": No such file or directory (2). rsyncd: PID 3444: rsync error: syntax or usage error (code 1) at /home/lapo/packaging/tmp/rsync 2.6.6/clientserver.c(643). Again, both deltacd.conf and all of the executables are in C:\Program Files\Synametrics Technologies\DeltaCopy >Hi, > >Deltas.exe, Rsync.exe and deltacd.conf files should be in the same folder. DeltaCopy problem - rsync configuration file ...

Do you have CYGWIN installed on the machine? It comes comes with another copy rsync.exe and if that comes in your machine PATH before the one that is in the DeltaCopy folder, wrong EXE might get executed. DeltaCopy problem - rsync configuration file ...

I had the same issue when running DeltaCopy under a non-privileged account. The issue was that DCServce.exe could not read the registry entries telling it where to find the configuration file. The solution was to grant the non-privileged account full access to HKLM\Software\Synametrics\DeltaCopy. -jerry
