I am new to rsync.  I have created an rsync backup of a Synology NAS on to a Lacie 5big NAS Pro.  Rsync backups are not in readable format.  What are my options when the Synology dies and I need to recover my backup.  Can I use the Syncrify client to access or restore the backup that was created on the Lacie?

Even though Syncrify Client uses the rsync algorithm, it can only work with Syncrify Server. It is not compatible with rsync's binary. Having said that, rsync should copy the file exactly how they are stored on your Synology. What do you mean when you say "they are not in readable" format? Let's say you have a file called "hello.txt" on Synology, what are the contents of that file on Lacie?
