hello.  I thought Syncriy would be simple to setup but I am having difficulties with some basic functions.

I am using Syncrify Version: 4.4 - build 963.

1. I tried to entered the Trial Serial Number that was sent to me by Syncrify into the Syncrify Server -> About -> Enter Serial Number

* After I clicked the "Proceed" button with the page form filled with serial number, it took me to a blank page with in http://localhost:5800/app   in the URL.

* I reloaded and login to the admin console and serial number was not registered.  I have done this a few times already.

* I have setup Syncrify Client Profile but can not run a test backup because I got a popup warning that Syncrify Server is not yet registered.

2. How do I change the Backup Repository folder for a client.  I have read your document on how to do this in the link below, but there was no field indicating a Repository Path. The fields available for modification were users psw, Max Versions, Disk Quota, Selection Filter, Bandwidth Throttling, and Delete Retention Days.

Answer 1: Before entering the serial number, you have to register Syncrify. If it is not registered correctly, serial number will not get applied. Please contact our support via email if you think registeration went smoothly but serial number still does not work.

Answer 2: Go to Manage Users screen and click the button for Repository Exception on the upper right hand side. Having said that, we recommend using Junction Points (symlinks on Linux) instead of Repository Exceptions. Check http://web.synametrics.com/SyncrifyJP.htm for details
