Syncrify on Qnap issue

Hellp everyone,

Just installed Syncrify on my Qnap ts-251. I did follwo the instructions and installed JRE before installing Syncrify app; however, I am having issues with the app. When I open the app and get the Congratulations page, it asks me to create a password for the admin, then it asks me to put my email address. After I put my email address and click on next, I get "Processing. Please wait" message and it stays there. I waited more than 40 min but nothing happened.

I did restart my NAS but that did not change anything.

Any idea what is going on?

Syncrify on Qnap issue

Dear Phil,

Syncrify tries to determine the settings for your SMTP server after you enter the admin's emails. I have a feeling this process is taking long for some reason. Try specifying either a gmail, hotmail or yahoo email address for the admin account. The SMTP server settings for these servers are hard-coded in Syncrify and therefore, that step will be very fast. Once the setup is over, you can change the admin's emails to the actual value and manually specify the settings for SMTP server.

If you want, send us your domain name via email. We will try to reproduce this issue on your end to see why it is taking that long.
