Read error on .dbt file - but fil eis present

I have a weird issue: a .dbt file is reported that it cannot be backupped because of Read error 20015. The exact name of the file changes after a few days. Even when I add the file manually, it will still bereported. When I do not add the file manually, there is no .dbt file to be found, anywhere nearby.

The log shows:

Backup gestart op 7-4-17 8:18 en voltooid met een of meerdere fouten. Verstreken tijd: 03:24 min.
Controleer het logbestand voor details over de fout (en)

It runs on a VM with Windows 7 Ultimate. For this test I added the .dbt file manually (like with echo XXX >624ec229-e047-4843-9219-d7c4eb67d7b5.dbt). It is not overwritten during of after the syncrify session.

I have upgraded the server and client with the latest versions. I checked "backup locked files" to "yes".

Other backup software not report any .dbt file. The file is not present with "attrib *" in a Dos box and does not show in Explorer. (Well, now of course it does because I added it temporarily...) I cannot copy it, because it isn.t there. I tried with a task that copies all .dbt files every 10 seconds during a syncrify run: nothing is copied.

Am I doing something wrong?

What is this .dbt file?, where does it come from?

Why reports syncrify this file, while it does not seem to exist?

Read error on .dbt file - but fil eis present

Rudd,

The most common reason for error 20015 is permission problem. When you navigate to this file using Syncrify Client GUI, do you see a line through it? Select the file and ensure you do not see a line. A line through the file typically indicates a permission problem.

Check http://web.synametrics.com/syncrifypermcheck.htm for details

I'd also recommend checking the log files on the client machine. Refer to http://web.synametrics.com/SyncrifyLogFiles.htm for details on how to check the log files.
