It does have an API but it is not public. Check http://web.synametrics.com/SynaManCli.htm to see if that works for you.

Unfortunately we don't want to take a dependency on the JRE for the CLI, and would prefer not to have to reverse engineer the protocol.

Would it be possible to obtain documentation on the API, on the understanding that things might break in future versions?
