I just upgraded to the new version and the export template editor is not showing in the tools menu.
I looked it up in the help and it said it should be there. How do I upgrade/edit the .wet files in the new version?

Are you trying to upgrade from v9 to v10? Export Template Editor is not needed as WinSQL will automatically upgrade the template file. This editor was required in order versions (I think prior to v7) when the format of the template file was changed from binary to XML.

Well I needed to change the passwords in all the templates. So I figured out how to create a new one then I had to manually migrate them all over using notepad and editing the XML. Is this the expected way to do it in the future with the new versions?

Next to the EXECUTE button at the top ribbon, there will be a small drop-down arrow. If you click this, you will see Export Results. Going through this will allow you to configure the export and the very last window will contain an option to save it as a template.
