Your KB is useless

I have been trying for 45 minutes to figure out how to configure your Syncrify to create the pointer to the destination files.

However, your KB is useless. I have tried every combination of "install" and "configure" but your KB points me to basic installation. I know how to install software. What I don't know, and what your useless KB doesn't describe, is the actual steps to configure the destination folder.

Nothing in your GUI remotely points me in the direction of completing this task.

You seem to go out of your way to make it impossible to use your software.

Your KB is useless

Nathan,

I assume you want to define the location where backed up files are stored when you say "pointer to the destination files". This value is defined when you create a user in Syncrify. Multiple users can either share the same repository path or different. One important point to keep in mind is that you use the "admin" account to configure Syncrify and a non-admin account to run backups.

Try the following steps:

  • Login to Syncrify's web interface using the admin account.
  • Click Manage Users
  • Create a user and specify a path for repository. This is the location where files will be stored.
  • VERY IMPORTANT: Syncrify will create sub-folders within the path. These sub-folders are created by Syncrify to distinguish between users and profile.

Please let me know if I have misunderstood you question or you have further inquiries.

Regards,
Imran.
