Revolving around the core of technology
When a user renames a file or folder - Your software isn't intelligent enough to know that it is the same file that's already backed up.
Instead - the entire renamed folder is backed up which is not good if it contains 20gb of photos. Not only is this going to delay the backup of important files but also uses extra disk space on servers.
Hi,
This feature is currently missing in Syncrify. If you rename a file/folder, Syncrify will consider that a new file and therefore, it will get transferred again. The file/folder will get deleted, provided user has "Deleted Files" option checked.
So yes, it will use up the extra bandwidth but the disk space will be reclaimed when the older folder is deleted.
